Citrix Presentation Server Client, developed by Citrix Systems, Inc., is a client application that enables secure, reliable access to Windows-based applications and desktops published on Citrix Presentation Server (formerly MetaFrame, later Citrix XenApp). Using Citrix’s Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) protocol, it delivers a responsive user experience across LANs, WANs, and the public Internet. The client can run as a standalone application or a browser plug-in and integrates with Citrix Web Interface and Program Neighborhood/Program Neighborhood Agent for easy app discovery and launch.
